About Paul Ryan
Paul Ryan
Editor, Australian Anthill Magazine
Paul Ryan joined Australian Anthill as a features writer in May 2004 and was appointed Editor within a few months.
After graduating from the University of Adelaide with First Class honours in History, Paul began a PhD at the University of Melbourne and appeared set for a career in academia. However, after just 12 months he left his studies to pursue greater challenges and relevance in the professional world.
Following four years at News Limited’s Advertiser Newspaper, Paul spent three years in a production role at Melbourne’s Herald and Weekly Times, while continuing work as a freelance journalist and editor. In 2003, he moved to an editing role at a media analysis start-up, before joining Anthill.
He has written scores of feature articles for Anthill magazine, on diverse issues including venture capital, export, digital media, innovation, intellectual property, nanotechnology and online strategy. He has also interviewed scores of prominent people, including Andrew Denton, Don Watson, Sabeer Bhatia (founder of Hotmail) and Sir Martin Evans (father of stem cell research).
Paul also presides over the development of Anthill’s web presence.
